Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Rice 1/2 cup
  2. Moong dal 1/4 cup
  3. Channa dal 1 tbsp
  4. Jaggery 3/4 Cup
  5. cardamon powder
  6. Nutmeg powder
  7. Ghee required
  8. For Seasoning
  9. ghee
  10. dry grapes
  11. Cashews
  12. FOR GARNISH
  13. Coconut
  14. banana
  15. Honey

Instructions

  1. TAKE 1/2 CUP PONGAL RICE, 1/4 CUP MOONG DAL AND 1 TBSP CHANNA DAL
  2. DRY ROAST RICE AND DAL
  3. COOL THE MIXTURE AND RINSE THEM FOUR TIMES. KEEP ASIDE
  4. BOIL 1/2 LTR PURE COW MILK
  5. WHEN THE MILK STARTS BOILING ADD RICE DAL AND 2 CUPS OF WATER
  6. STIR CONSTANTLY AND CHECK IF THE RICE AND DAL ARE COOKED
  7. RICE AND DAL SHOULD BE MUSHY
  8. BOIL 3/4 CUP OF PALM JAGGERY OR ORGANIC JAGGERY IN 1 CUP OF WATER
  9. STRAIN IMPURITIES
  10. ADD JAGGERY SYRUP TO COOKED RICE AND DAL. MIX
  11. ADD CARDAMON AND NUTMEG POWDER. ADD GHEE
  12. MIX WELL. COOK ON LOW FLAME. STIR CONSTANTLY
  13. ADD ROASTED CASHEWS AND DRY GRAPES. TURN OFF THE FLAME
