Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Rice 1/2 cup
  2. Moong dal 1/4 cup
  3. Salt
  4. For Seasoning
  5. Ghee 1 tbsp
  6. Pepper 1 tsp
  7. Jeera 1 tsp
  8. Pepper powder 1 tsp
  9. Cashew
  10. chopped ginger
  11. curry leaves

Instructions

  1. TAKE 1/2 CUP PONGAL RICE OR RECENTLY HARVESTED RICE AND 1/4 CUP MOONG DAL
  2. DRY ROAST RICE AND DAL
  3. COOL THE ROASTED RICE AND DAL
  4. ADD 4 CUPS OF WATER AND BOIL THE RICE
  5. TAKE 1 TSP PEPPER, JEERA, PEPPER POWDER, CHOPPED GINGER, CASHEWS AND CURRY LEAVES
  6. FRY THEM IN 1 TBSP GHEE
  7. ADD SALT AS PER YOUR TASTE AND TADKA. BOIL TILL THE RICE AND DAL ARE MUSHY
