This is a quick and easy way to make instant dhokla at home for breakfast and snack options.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 250 grams Suji [semolina]
  2. 1 sachet eno original
  3. 2 Tbsp oil
  4. ginger paste - 1/2 tsp
  5. Three fourth Cup water
  6. 4 spoon curd
  7. salt
  8. For garnish coriander leaves [handful]
  9. Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  10. Slit green chillies - 2
  11. refined oil


  1. Take a mixing bowl, add the semolina, curd, oil, water along with salt, ginger paste. whisk the mixture very well so that there are no lumps in the batter. Now add the entire ENO sachet into the mix, give it a good mix and leave it aside for 5 to 10 minutes.
  2. Pour this mixture into a greased steamer plate and steam this for 25-30 minutes. once cooked, leave aside for 10 minutes to cool down a bit.
  3. To prepare the tempering , heat some oil in a pan, add the mustard leaves, curry leaves, asafoetida followed by the green chillies. Once they splutter, pour this tempering onto the dhokla, garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Slice the dhokla into pieces and serve with some ketchup.
