ABOUT Egg stuffed puri RECIPE

In Northern India, wheat is a staple food and hence there are many flat breads made with wheat flour included in their cuisine. These flatbreads are known as Rotis. Rotis are usually grilled, fire roasted, roasted in the tandoor or fried. It can be spiced up or stuffed. Here i have made an easy stuffed puri. I am sure kids will love taking in their tiffin box

Ingredients Serving: 1

  1. For egg mixture
  2. Egg - 1
  3. Onion 1
  4. Green chilly 1
  5. Curry leaves few
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Oil for stir frying
  8. For puri
  9. Atta - 3/4 cup
  10. Salt
  11. Water
  12. Oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. HEAT OIL IN A PAN
  2. ADD CHOPPED ONION
  3. ADD CURRY LEAVES
  4. GREEN CHILLY
  5. SALT
  6. SAUTE WELL
  7. COOK UNTIL IT BECOME TRANSLUCENT
  8. POUR EGG
  9. COOK, STIRRING, UNTIL LARGE, FLUFFY CURDS FORM AND EGG IS FULLY COOKED THROUGH
  10. CLOSE THE LID AND COOK FOR TWO MINUTES
  11. FILLING IS READY
  12. MAKE A DOUGH WITH WHEAT FLOUR SALT AND WATER
  13. MAKE INTO A SMALL BALLS AND ROLL OUT INTO A SMALL CIRCLES
  14. PLACE SPOONFULL OF EGG MIXTURE IN THE CENTER OF 3 CIRCLES .
  15. PUT THE OTHER CIRCLE ON THE TOP
  16. PRESS IT
  17. SEAL IT WITH FORK
  18. HEAT OIL FOR DEEP FRYING
  19. FRY ONE PURI AT A TIME
  20. FRY UNTIL COLOUR TURNS GOLDEN
  21. STUFFED PURI IS READY
