Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Brown lentil/ masoor daal 1 cup
  2. Water 5 cups
  3. Ghee 4tbsp
  4. Asefotidia 1pinch
  5. Cumin 1
  6. Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  7. Red chilli powder 1+1tsp
  8. Salt to taste
  9. For temper
  10. Ghee 2 tbsp
  11. Asefotidia 1 pinch
  12. Cumin 1 tsp
  13. Red chilli powder 1/2tsp
  14. For rice
  15. Basmati rice 1 cup
  16. Water 2 cups
  17. Oil 2 tbsp
  18. Salt to taste
  19. Cumin 2 tsp
  20. Ghee 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. ADD ASEFOTIDIA, CUMIN, TURMERIC POWDER, RED CHILLI POWDER IN PRE-HEATED GHEE
  2. ADD WATER AND SOAKED BROWN LENTIL/SABUT MASOOR DAAL.
  3. ADD SALT
  4. CLOSE THE LID AND TAKE 4-5 WHISTLES
  5. OPEN AND CHECK IF IT'S DONE. ADD TEMPER.
  6. FOR TEMPER....HEAT GHEE.
  7. ADD ASEFOTIDIA, CUMIN AND RED CHILLI POWDER.
  8. FOR RICE HEAT OIL IN A VESSEL ADD CUMIN AND WATER.
  9. ADD SOAKED RICE INTO THE BOILING WATER
  10. AFTER FEW MINUTES RICE WILL BE COOKED.
  11. ADD GHEE
