Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Tuar daal 1 cup
  2. Chopped mix vegies 2 cups(carrot, pumpkin,beans and drumsticks)
  3. salt to taste
  4. turmeric powder 1 tsp
  5. For tempering
  6. Asefotidia 1 pinch
  7. Whole red chillies 4-5
  8. Mustard seeds 1 tbsp
  9. onion 1 (sliced)
  10. garlic 1 tsp (Chopped)
  11. turmeric powder 1 tsp
  12. Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  13. Coriender powder 1 tsp
  14. Sambhar masala powder 1 tbsp
  15. Temrind water 1/4 cup
  16. For idlies
  17. semolina 1 cup
  18. curd 1 cup
  19. salt to taste
  20. Baking powder 1/2tsp
  21. Eno 1 pack
  22. oil for greesing

Instructions

  1. ADD SEMOLINA,CURD AND SALT
  2. ADD BAKING POWDER AND WATER.MAKE A LUMP FREE BATTER.
  3. ADD ENO AND MIX IT
  4. GREESE IDLI PLATES
  5. POUR IDLI BATTER INTO THE GROOVES.
  6. STEAM INTO THE STEAMER.
  7. KEEP OUT ALL THE IDLIES
  8. FOR SAMBHAR.... ADD VEGIES AND TUAR DAAL IN A PRESSURE COOKER.
  9. ADD TURMERIC POWDER,SALT AND WATER.
  10. MIX AND CLOSE THE LID
  11. TAKE 4 WHISTLES.. AND AFTER COOLING DOWN OPEN THE LID
  12. POUR THE SAMBHAR IN A BIGGER VESSEL.
  13. ADD TEMRIND WATER.
  14. FRY WHOLE RED CHILLIES.
  15. ADD ASEFOTIDIA, GARLIC AND ONION IN PRE-HEATED OIL .
  16. COOK TILL GOLDEN COLOUR.
  17. ADD CURRY LEAVES
  18. ADD REF CHILLI POWDER, TURMERIC POWDER AND SAMBHAR MASALA POWDER.
  19. ADD MUSTARD SEED.
  20. WHEN MUSTARD SEED START SPUTTERING ADD CHOPPED TOMATOES.
  21. POUR THIS TEMPER INTO THE SAMBHAR VESSEL.
