Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Husked black gram 1 cup
  2. Water 4 cups
  3. salt to taste
  4. Ghee 2 tbs
  5. Ginger 1 tbsp
  6. Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  7. Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  8. Cumin 1 tsp
  9. Asefotidia 1 pinch
  10. For temper
  11. Ghee 2 tbs
  12. Fenugreek 1/2tsp
  13. Cumin 1 tsp
  14. Asefotidia 1 pinch

Instructions

  1. HEAT 2 TBSP GHEE IN A COOKER AND ADD 1TSP CUMIN,1 TSP TURMERIC POWDER AND 1 TSP RED CHILLI POWDER.
  2. ADD 4 CUP WATER AND 1 CUP HUSKED BLACK GRAM.
  3. ADD SALT.
  4. ADD GRATED GINGER AROUND 1 TSP.
  5. CLOSE THE LID AND TAKE A WHISTLE.
  6. MEANWHILE PREPARE TEMPER..... HEAT 2 TBSP GHEE. ADD 1 PINCH ASEFOTIDIA, 1/2 TSP FENUGREEK,1TSP CUMIN
  7. POUR THE TEMPER INTO THE READY DAL.
