Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Urad dal 1/2 cup
  2. Idli rice 2 cup
  3. water 2 -3 cup
  4. salt to taste
  5. Grated coconut 1 cup

Instructions

  1. 6 HOURS SOAKED URAD DAL AND RICE, ADD SALT AND WATER
  2. GRIND COARSELY
  3. POUR INTO VESSEL, CLOSE THE LID, LET IT FERMENTATION OVERNIGHT
  4. CHECK THE FERMENTATION, MIX WELL
  5. APPLY OIL TO IDLI MOULDS
  6. ADD IDLI BATTER INTO EACH HOLE
  7. ADD GRATED COCONUT TO EACH
  8. CLOSE THE LID AND STEAM FOR 35-40 MINUTES, THEN OPEN THE LID AND LET IT COOL FOR 4-5 MINUTES
  9. TAKE OUT
  10. REMOVE AND SERVE
