ABOUT Moong dal RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 cup moong dal
  2. Salt
  3. Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
  4. Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  5. Garlic 6 pieces
  6. Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
  7. Chat masala - 1/2 tsp
  8. Jeera [cumin seeds] - 1 tsp
  9. tomatoes - 1
  10. onion [chopped] - 1
  11. Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  12. Ghee/Oil

Instructions

  1. Boil the moong dal with tomatoes and onion, in a pressure cooker.
  2. Add all the spices to the dal.
  3. Now heat a pan with some oil. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds, followed by the chopped garlic cloves.
  4. Once they splutter, add the tempering to the cooking dal.
  5. Check for seasoning and serve hot.
