ABOUT Mushroom masala RECIPE

Mushroom masala made a little differently with onion masala paste, spice powders and some chilli, tomatoe sauces. A nice combination of all the three types. Do gives it a try. Will go with rice or phulkas very well.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. mushroom - 400 gms
  2. For the paste:
  3. onions - 3
  4. Green chillies - 1
  5. Red chilli - 3
  6. garlic flakes - 10
  7. ginger - 1 inch
  8. water sufficient to grind
  9. Curry leaves - 1 spring
  10. coriander - 2 tbsp
  11. Red chilli powder - 1 tbsp
  12. dhania jeera powder - 1 tbsp
  13. Tomatoe sauce - 2 tbsp
  14. Green chilli sauce - 2 tbsp
  15. Soya sace-1 tsp
  16. salt to taste

Instructions

  1. WASH AND DICE 400 GMS BUTTON MUSHROOMS
  2. GRIND 3 SLICED ONIONS, 3 RED CHILLIES, 1 GREEN CHILLI, 1 INCH GINGER, 10 FLAKES GARLIC TO A PASTE
  3. ADD 3 TBSPS OIL TO A SAUCE PAN
  4. ADD THE GROUND PASTE AND KEEP FRYING TILL WATER IS REDUCED
  5. ADD 1 TBSPS EACH OF DHANIA JEERA POWDER AND RED CHILLI POWDER ADD 1/2 TSP TURMERIC. STIR FRY
  6. ADD THE DICED MUSHROOMS.
  7. LET IT COOK ON LOW FLAME UNCOVERED TILL WATER DRIES THEN ADD 2 TBSP GREEN CHILLI SAUCE
  8. 2 TBSP RED CHILLI SAUCE 1 TSP SOYA SAUCE
  9. SALT TO TASTE. MIX WELL
  10. ADD SOME GREENS TO FINISH. A SPRING OF CURRY LEAVES AND 2 TBSPS CHOPPED CORIANDER. MIX WELL

It goes well with naan or tandoori roti.
