ABOUT Caramel Popcorn RECIPE

Caramel corn or caramel popcorn is a confection made of popcorn coated with a sugar or molasses based caramel candy shell. Typically a sugar solution or syrup is made and heated until it browns and becomes thick, producing a caramelized candy syrup.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 pack of Act 2 popcorn or 1/2 cup popcorn kernel
  2. 2 tbsp butter
  3. 1/2 cup brown sugar
  4. 1/2 cup white sugar
  5. 1/4 tsp salt
  6. 2 tbsp condensed milk
  7. 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
  8. 1/4 tsp baking soda

Instructions

  1. POP THE CORN AS PER DIRECTIONS
  2. TAKE OUT ON A PLATE
  3. FOR CARAMEL- TAKE 2 TBSP BUTTER, 1/2 CUP WHITE SUGAR
  4. 1/2 CUP BROWN SUGAR AND LET IT MELT ON LOW FLAME
  5. ADD 1/4 TSP SALT, 2 TBSP CONDENSED MILK
  6. 1/2 TSP VANILLA ESSENCE, 1/4 TSP BAKING SODA MIX WELL
  7. ADD POPCORN TO CARAMEL SAUCE AND MIX WELL
  8. TRANSFER ON A BAKING TRAY LINED WITH BUTTER PAPER
  9. BAKE FOR 5-10 MINUTES IN PREHEATED OVEN AT 100° C
  10. STIR IN BETWEEN
  11. CARAMEL POPCORN ARE READY
  12. WHEN COOLS DOWN, SEPARATE THE POPCORN
