Sweet chutny is famous in bengali cuisine. Every dinner/ lunch party ended with sweet chutny .Chutny's are made out of tomato, raw mango, papaya, pineapple etc. Prepared chutney with dry bair ( kul )was delious.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Bair ( kul) dry - 2 cups
  2. Tomato - 8 nos
  3. Sugar- 2 1/2 cups
  4. Panchforon- 1 tsp ( cumin, kalonji, methi, saunf, mustard)
  5. Red chilly - 4 nos
  6. Bay leaf - 2 nos
  7. Roasted masala - 1 1/2 tbsp ( cumin, coriander, red chilly)
  8. Salt - 1/2 tsp
  9. Oil -1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. DRIED BAIR, TOMATO, SUGAR, SATL, PANCHFORON, CHILLY, BAY LEAVES, ROASTED MASALA, MUSTARD OIL
  2. HEAT MUSTARD OIL AND WHOLE MASALA.
  3. ADD CHOPPED TOMATOS AND SALT.
  4. STIRRING PROPERLY.
  5. COOK TILL SOFT AND SMASHY
  6. SOAK BAIR INTO WATER.
  7. WHEN TOMATO'S WATER ALMOST DRIED UP ADD SUGAR
  8. ADD WATER SOAKED BAIR ( KUL, IN BENGALI )
  9. COOK TILL ITS BECAME THICK AND FINELY ADD ROASTED MASALA.( CUMIN, CORIANDER, RED CHILLY)
