ABOUT Homemade Kulcha RECIPE

One of the most loved Punjabi dish, kulcha is an Indian bread which tastes great with chole on the side.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 2 cups all-purpose flour
  2. 1 tsp baking powder
  3. 1.5 tsp powder sugar
  4. 1 tsp Nigella seeds
  5. 1/4 cup curd
  6. 2 tbsp oil
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Water as required
  9. Butter as required

Instructions

  1. IN 2 CUPS OF WHEAT FLOUR, ADD 1.5 TSP POWDER SUGAR, SALT TO TASTE & 1 TSP BAKING SODA
  2. MIX WELL, ADD 1/4 CUP CURD, 2 TBSP OIL
  3. ADD WATER AND KNEAD INTO A SOFT DOUGH
  4. APPLY OIL, COVER AND KEEP ASIDE FOR 30 MINUTES
  5. DIVIDE THE DOUGH INTO SMALL BALLS AND ROLL IT
  6. SPRINKLE SOME NIGELLA SEEDS AND ROLL IT
  7. FLIP THE ROTI AND BRUSH WITH WATER
  8. PLACE THE WATER SIDE ON HOT TAWA
  9. WHEN BUBBLES START FOAMING, FLIP THE TAWA AND COOK ON DIRECT FLAME
  10. KULCHA IS READY
  11. APPLY BUTTER ON TOP

Thanks for sharing the recipe.. It's my husband favorite.. I tried and it came out perfectly.. I also prepared stuffed kulcha with Potatoes and Paneer
