Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. lauki [bottle gourds] 1
  2. rice 2 cups
  3. gud 2 cups
  4. salt 1 tsp
  5. oil for greasing
  6. leaf plates
  7. chopped coconut 1 cup

Instructions

  1. Peel lauki
  2. Cut into small pieces
  3. Wash and strain water
  4. Boil it with adding salt
  5. Close lid and cook till 1 whistle
  6. Put in a blender
  7. With soaked rice
  8. Blend it together to a fine paste
  9. In a pan add liquid gud and water and the mixture..
  10. Stir well
  11. Stir continuously so that no lumps will form
  12. When thickened add chopped coconut
  13. Grease a pan with oil
  14. Pour the mixture into the pan
  15. Spread it evenly with some oil on the top
  16. Cover it with leaf plates
  17. Put burning charcoal and spread evenly
  18. Put on low flame for 1 about 1 hour
  19. Take out the charcoal and leaf plate
  20. Flip it onto a plate
  21. Cut it when cooled
  22. Soft and tasty cake is ready
