Tasty dish with simple roasted puttu maavu

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Puttu maavu - 400gm(roasted)
  2. Curry masala - 1tbsp + 1tsp
  3. curd - 2tbsp
  4. cinnamon - 2 small pieces
  5. clove - 4
  6. onion - 2
  7. Tomato- 1
  8. Green chilli - 2
  9. Coriander, mint leaves - handful
  10. coconut - 3 pieces (grated)
  11. Red chilli powder - 1/2tsp
  12. ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tbsp
  13. salt - to taste
  14. oil - required quantity

Instructions

  1. ADD OIL IN A PRESSURE COOKER & ADD CINNAMON, CLOVES
  2. ADD ONE ONION
  3. ADD ONE GREEN CHILLI
  4. ADD ONE TOMATO AND SALT
  5. ADD 1/2TSP OF RED CHILLI PWD, CORIANDER, MINT LEAVES,1/2TBSP OF GG PASTE
  6. ADD 300GMS OF MUTTON
  7. ADD CURRY MASALA POWDER (1TBSP+1TSP)
  8. ADD 2TBSP OF CURD
  9. ADD WATER & PRESSURE COOK FOR 15 MIN
  10. ADD GRATED COCONUT (3 PIECES ) COAR. MINT LVS, ONION(1) GREEN CHILLI(1) TO ROASTED 400GM PUTTU MAAVU
  11. KEEP SOME PUTTU MAAVU FOR LATER USE
  12. TRANSFER THE COOKED MUTTON TO A WIDE VESSEL
  13. ADD THE COOKED MASALA WATER TO THE PUTTU MAAVU
  14. MIX WELL
  15. ITS TIME TO MAKE KOZHUKATTAI
  16. ADD WATER 3 TIMES QTY OF PUTTU MAAVU, WHEN IT BOILS ADD KOZHUKATTAI ONE BY ONE.
  17. IF U R USING RICE FLOUR REDUCE THE WATER QTY. WITHOUT PUTTING SPATULA, ROTATE LIKE THIS IN-BETWEEN
  18. ADD THE SAVED PUTTU MAAVU TO THE KOZHUKATTAI. IT THICKENS THE GRAVY
  19. WHEN THE COLOUR CHANGES &GRAVY THICKENS, THAKKADI SHOULD BE READY
