This is an age old recipe that is followed in my family, a delicious curry to be served with some roti on the side.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Onions 2
  2. Tomatoes 2
  3. Turai 2
  4. red chilly powder - 1 tsp
  5. Salt
  6. Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  7. Coriander leaves [handful]
  8. Haldi [turmeric powder] - 1/2 tsp
  9. Oil


  1. Heat some oil in a pressure pan. Add the onion ans saute for few minutes until they are transparent.
  2. Add the chopped turai, tomatoes and coriander leaves.
  3. Add the spices and salt. mix well.
  4. Once the veggies are soft, add water for the gravy.
  5. Close the lid and let it cook until 3 whistles are attained.
  6. This curry is ready to be served.
