ABOUT Toffee Caramel Bread Pudding RECIPE

Traditionally baked on tava top in a pot ,bread pudding .Flavoured with vanilla essence and vanilla custard.Topped with toffee like caramel and cut the bitter taste some whipped cream done up

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 250ml milk pure
  2. 2tblspn vanilla custard powder
  3. 1 egg
  4. 3 slices
  5. 2tblspn butter
  6. 3-4 dropsvanilla essence
  7. 1 cup sugar
  8. 1 cup ground sugar
  9. 2tblspn whipping cream powder
  10. Half an apple

Instructions

  1. KEEP 250 ML MILK,VANILLA CUSTARD&ESSENCE,3 BREAD SLICES BROWN,1 CUP SUGAR,1 EGG,SOME BUTTER, READY
  2. CUT OUT STRIPS OF THE BREAD SLICES FOR EASY SPREAD
  3. SPREAD THE BREAD STRIPS AND POUR 1 CUP MILK ALL OVER
  4. PRESS THE BREAD TO SOAK IN MILK WELL
  5. TAKE 1TSPN AMUL BUTTER SPREAD ALL OVER THE SOAKED BREAD STRIPS
  6. NOW TAKE HEAPED SPOON OF VANILLA CUSTARD POWDER,ADD TO 3TBLSPN COLD MILK STIR MIX WELL
  7. NOW BEAT EGG WELL
  8. ADD A CUP OF POWDERED SUGAR TO BEATEN EGG AND MIX BEAT WELL
  9. ADD FEW DROPS OF VANILLA ESSENCE IN THE EGG MIX
  10. ADD CARDOMOM POWDER 1/4TH TSPN,CUSTARD MIX TO THE EGG SUGAR MIX ,BEAT ALL WELL
  11. NOW ADD THIS EGG CUTARD CONCOCTION MIX ON THE SOAKED BUTTERED BREAD,SPREAD WELL MAKING PLACE TOO
  12. ADD 1TBLSPN EACH OF CHOPPED BLANCHED ALMONDS AND PISTACHIOS TO THE BREAD MIX .NOW MIX COARSE & WELL
  13. GREASE A HEAVY BOTTOM PAN WITH SOME BUTTER
  14. POUR THE EGG CUSTARD MILK BREAD MIX INTO THIS GREASED POT ,PLACE A TAVA UNDER THIS ON SLOW AND COVER
  15. COVER COOK 15 MINUTES ON SLOW
  16. CHECK THE PUDDING WELL DONE WITH A KNIFE LOOSENING SIDES
  17. COVER WITH A PLATE IN WHICH TO TAKE OUT UPSIDE DOWN
  18. HIT BACK OF THE POT TO ENSURE PUDDING FALL OUT WELL
  19. PUDDING IS ON PLATE NOW WELL ,CHECK STILL IF ANY STICKY PORTION LEFT WITH KNIFE
  20. I USED WHIPPING CREAM POWDER ,BLUE BIRDS TO DO UP CREAM TAKE HALF A PACKET 2 FULL TSPNS
  21. ADD SOME WATER JUST COVERING POWDER,START BEATING WELL BEAT 5-6MINUTES,KEEP IN FRIDGE
  22. HEAT THE WHOLE SUGAR,1 CUP IN A POT JUST COVERING WITH WATER FOR CARAMALISING
  23. KEEP STIRRING TILL TURNS GOLDEN STIR WELL
  24. WHILE CARAMEL HOT POUR OVER READY PUDDING
  25. SPREAD ALL OVER THE PUDDING WELL WHILE HOT
  26. ARRANGE THIN SLICES OF APPLE ALL AROUND,FRUIT COULD BE OF CHOICE TOO
  27. TAKE OUT THE SET WHIPPED CREAM AND SPOON OVER ON TO CENTRE OF PUDDING TO GARNISH
