ABOUT Dryfruit Shrikhand RECIPE

This is the traditional sweet from Gujarat and Maharashtra. It is also known as ‘Matho’. It is made from hung or strained curd/yogurt and sugar. Chopped nuts are also added.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 500 gram dahi
  2. chopped mix dryfruit
  3. sugar

Instructions

  1. TAKE A DEEP BOWL, COVER IT WITH A MUSLIN CLOTH
  2. POUR 500 ML CURD, GATHER THE ENDS OF THE CLOTH
  3. TIE UP THE CLOTH TIGHTLY, HANG IT UP FOR 2 HOURS
  4. AFTER ALL THE WHEY DRAINS OUT, YOU WILL BE LEFT WITH THICK CURD LIKE THIS
  5. ADD POWDERED SUGAR TO TASTE
  6. MIX WELL
  7. ADD 1/4 TSP CARDAMOM POWDER, 2 TBSP CHOPPED DRYFRUITS
  8. ADD WARM SAFFRON MILK & STIR, REFRIGERATE FOR 1-2 HOURS
  9. SHRIKHAND IS READY TO SERVE
