Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1/2 cup diced Vellarika(Big Yellow Cucumber)
  2. 1 small raw mango peeled and diced
  3. 1/2 cup grated coconut
  4. 2 green chillies slit
  5. 1/4 tsp turmeric
  6. 3/4 cup or more water
  7. 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Earthern vessel for cooking
  10. For seasoning
  11. 1.5 tbsp coconut oil
  12. 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  13. 1 sprig curry leaves
  14. 2-3 shallots chopped
  15. 2 dry red chillies

Instructions

  1. INGREDIENTS
  2. GRIND COCONUT, CUMIN SEEDS AND SUFFICIENT WATER TO FORM FINE PASTE
  3. IN EARTHEN VESSEL, ADD VELLARIKA, RAW MANGO, TURMERIC WATER AND GREEN CHILLIES
  4. COVER AND COOK UNTIL TENDER
  5. ADD GROUND COCONUT TO CURRY
  6. ADD SALT
  7. MIX WELL AND BRING TO JUST BOIL
  8. HEAT OIL IN A PAN, SPLUTTER MUSTARD SEEDS
  9. ADD BROKEN RED CHILLIES, SHALLOTS AND SAUTE UNTIL TRANSLUCENT
  10. ADD CURRY LEAVES AND SAUTE FOR FEW SECONDS
  11. ADD TEMPERING TO CURRY. MIX WELL
  12. SERVE HOT WITH RICE
