Sindhi kadhi is very delicious and nutritious. This tangy Kadhi is made with roasted gram flour and mix of vegetables. Traditionally it is served with rice.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1 potato
  2. Cauliower 50 gms
  3. Gwar fali 50 gms
  4. Lady finger 50 gms
  5. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  6. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  7. salt to taste
  8. 1 tsp ginger grated
  9. 1/2 cup tomato puree
  10. methi seeds 1/2 tsp
  11. Masturd seeds 1/2 tsp
  12. 4 tsp oil
  13. cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  14. asafoetida 1/4 tsp
  15. 8 tsp gram flour
  16. Drumsticks 2

Instructions

  1. HEAT 2 TBSP OIL, ADD 2 CHOPPED DRUMSTICKS, 200 GMS CAULIFLOWER FLORETS
  2. ADD 1 CHOPPED POTATO, 50 GMS CLUSTER BEANS / GAVAR PHALLI
  3. ADD 50 GMS OKRA, SAUTE
  4. COVER & COOK TILL SOFT, SET ASIDE
  5. HEAT 2 TBSP OIL, ADD 1/2 TSP EACH OF CUMIN, FENUGREEK & MUSTARD SEEDS
  6. ADD 1/4 TSP ASAFOETIDA, 2 DRY RED CHILLIES, 1 TSP GRATED GINGER
  7. ADD 8 TSP GRAM FLOUR
  8. STIR CONTINUOUSLY, & ROAST UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN ON LOW HEAT
  9. TAKE OFF HEAT, ADD 2 CUPS OF WATER
  10. TURN ON THE HEAT, STIR CONTINUOUSLY TO AVOID LUMPS
  11. ADD 1 /2 CUP TOMATO PUREE
  12. ADD 1/2 TSP EACH OF TURMERIC & RED CHILLI POWDERS, SALT TO TASTE
  13. ADD THE COOKED VEGETABLES
  14. ADD 1 CUP WATER, COOK ON LOW HEAT
  15. ADD 1/4 CUP TAMARIND PULP
  16. COVER & COOK FOR 4-5 MINS, TAKE OFF HEAT
  17. GARNISH WITH SOME FRESH CORIANDER, SERVE HOT
