Helps building immunity . To make these ragi pancakes double nutritive , I have included red banana and jaggery . Red bananas help increase blood counts . Prevents from anaemia . Jaggery is a source of iron . A natural , healthy sweetener . So .. Y wait ? Try this for your kids .

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Ragi / finger millet flour 1 cup approximately 150 grams
  2. Whole wheat flour 150 grams
  3. Fat red banana fruit 1 ( discard the skin )
  4. Grated jaggery 2 tablespoons
  5. Warm water to prepare batter .
  6. Ghee 3 tablespoons
  7. Chopped Pistas for garnishing
  8. Grated jaggery for garnishing

Instructions

  1. In a bowl , take one whole mushy , fat red banana .
  2. Mash the banana completely using a spatula .
  3. Add 1 cup ragi / finger millet flour to the mashed banana .
  4. Add 1 cup whole wheat flour .
  5. Mix all together . Add warm water and mix into a smooth batter with pouring consistency .
  6. The batter shouldn’t be too runny / too tight .Add 2 tablespoons grated jaggery as a sweetener.
  7. Heat a tablespoon ghee in a pan . Pour one medium ladleful batter on the pan .Spread into a pancake
  8. Flip the side and cook evenly under medium flame . Once the ends turns crispy , brown spots appear
  9. on the pancakes , remove from the heat . Ragi pancakes are ready. Garnish with pistachios, jaggery
