Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Urad daal one cup
  2. Fenugreek seeds one tsp
  3. Idli rava three cups
  4. oil two spn
  5. Rai one spn
  6. jeera one spn
  7. Slit two green chillis
  8. Slit garlic one spn
  9. Curry leaves few
  10. Black pepper one spn
  11. tomatoes two finely chopped
  12. Cooked toor daal two tablespoons
  13. tamarind pulp one tablespoon
  14. water half litre
  15. salt
  16. Boondi for garnishing

Instructions

  1. SOAK ONE SMALL GLASS OF URAD DAAL AND ONE SPN METHI SEEDS FOR TWO HRS..
  2. GRIND IT INTO FINE PASTE...WITH LITTLE WATER..
  3. WITH PROPORTION OF 1:3,NOW WASH THREE SMALL GLASS OF IDLI RAVA...USE THE SAME MEASUREMENT GLASS...
  4. MIX RAVA N GRINDED URAD DAAL MIXTURE PROPERLY N LET IT FERMENT FOR 8 HRS
  5. WHEN READY TO MAKE...ADD SALT N MIX PROPERLY FOR SMOOTH N FLUFFY IDLIS..
  6. DROP SMALL SPOON BY SPOON IDLI BATTER IN GREASED IDLI PLATE..
  7. TAKE A VESSEL...ADD TWO SPOONFUL OF OIL..
  8. ADD RAI,JEERA,1SPN BLACK PEPPER, SLIT GREEN CHILLI,GARLIC,CURRY LEAVES,ADD TWO FINELY CHOPPED TOMATO
  9. LET IT COOK FOR TEN MIN
  10. ADD TURMERIC,RED CHILLI POWDER,
  11. ADD ONE SPN RASAM POWDER,ONE SPN GINGERGARLIC CHILLI PASTE N SAUTE FOR FEW MIN
  12. NOW ADD TWO SPOONS OF COOKED TOOR DAAL(PIGEON EYE DAAL).N ONE BIG SPOON OF TAMARIND PULP
  13. ADD HALF LITRE OF WATER N LET IT BOIL FOR TEN MIN ON SLOW FLAME TO GET PROPERTASTE..
  14. ADD SALT N LET IT BOIL...READY TO SERVE WITH BUTTON IDLIS..
