Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Soaked chana dal - 250 gm/2 cups
  2. Water - 3 Cups
  3. For Tadka
  4. Onions - 3
  5. Tomatoes- 2
  6. Tej patta-2
  7. Cumin seeds - 1tspn
  8. Red chillies -2 to 3
  9. Haldi - 1 tspn
  10. Garam masla -1/2 tspn
  11. Garlic - 4 leaves
  12. Ginger - 1/2 tspn
  13. Black pepper powder - 1/2 tspn
  14. Green cardamoms- 2
  15. Badi elaichi - 1

Instructions

  1. TRANSFER THE SOAKED CHANA DAL IN PRESSURE COOKER, ADD WATER, HALDI.
  2. ADD SALT
  3. COOK THE DAL TILL 3 WHISTLES.
  4. IN A PAN, HEAT OIL, ADD CUMIN, TEJPATTA AND SAUTE ONIONS.
  5. WHEN ITS TRANSLUCENT, ADD CHOPPED TOMATOES AND COOK. ADD THE SPICES.
  6. NOW ADD THE COOKED CHANA DAL AND MIX.
  7. LET IT COOK FOR 5 MIN.
