  1. Broken wheat 1/2 cup
  2. ghee 2 tbsp
  3. salt 3/4 tesp
  4. Whole red chilli 2
  5. cumin seeds 1/2 tesp
  6. Mustard seeds 1/4 tesp
  7. asafoetida a pinch
  8. turmeric powder 1/4 tesp
  9. Chopped carrots 2 tbsp
  10. Green peas 2 tbsp
  11. Boiled potato 1
  12. tomato 1
  13. Green coriander leaves 1 tbsp
  14. lemon juice

Instructions

  1. HEAT 1 TBSP GHEE, ADD 1/2 CUP BROKEN WHEAT / DALIYA, ROAST UNTIL IT TURNS GOLDEN BROWN
  2. ADD 1 CUP WATER, 1/2 TSP SALT, PRESSURE COOK UPTO 5-6 WHISTLES, KEEP ASIDE
  3. HEAT 1 TBSP GHEE, ADD 2 DRY RED CHILLIES, 1/2 TSP CUMIN SEEDS
  4. ADD 1/4 TSP MUSTARD SEEDS, A PINCH OF ASAFOETIDA
  5. ADD 2 TBSP EACH OF GREEN PEAS & FINELY CHOPPED CARROTS
  6. SEASON WITH 1/4 TSP EACH OF SALT & TURMERIC POWDER, ADD 1 TBSP WATER
  7. COVER & COOK ON SLOW HEAT UNTIL SOFT
  8. ADD 1 PUREED TOMATO
  9. ADD 1 BOILED & DICED POTATO, COOK FOR 2 MINS
  10. ADD 2 TBSP WATER, THE COOKED BROKEN WHEAT, COVER & COOK ON SLOW HEAT FOR 3-4 MINS
  11. ADD 1 TBSP CHOPPED CORIANDER LEAVES & A DASH OF LEMON JUICE, TAKE OFF HEAT
  12. SERVE HOT
