ABOUT CHEESY CARROT ALOO PARATHA RECIPE

Parathas are the best option to feed veggies to kids. And, i am sure, almost everyone loves aloo paratha. I added a twist of carrot, cheese & oregano to make it more interesting for ypung ones to eat.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1 & half cup wheat flour
  2. 2 medium potatoes, boiled & mashed
  3. 1 medium carrot, peel & grate
  4. 1/4 cup processed cheese, grated
  5. 1 teaspoon Oregano
  6. 1 teaspoon paprika
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Ghee for roasting paratha

Instructions

  1. TAKE 1 & 1/2 CUP WHEAT FLOUR IN A MIXING BOWL. TO THIS ADD 1 TSP SALT & 1TBSP GHEE
  2. MIX THIS WELL TO GET BREAD CRUMB LIKE TEXTURE
  3. MAKE A WELL IN CENTRE & ADD WATER IN BATCHES. KNEAD A SEMI SOFT DOUGH
  4. DAB FEW DROPS OF OIL ON THE SURFACE & REST FOR 10 MINUTES
  5. IN ANOTHER MIXING BOWL, TAKE BOILED & MASHED POTATOES
  6. TO THIS ADD THE GRATED CARROT
  7. 1/4 CUP GRATED, PROCESSED CHEESE
  8. 1 TSP OREGANO
  9. 1 TSP PAPRIKA POWDER
  10. 1/2 TSP SALT
  11. MIX EVERYTHING WELL
  12. NOW PINCH EQUAL SIZED BALLS FROM THE DOUGH
  13. NOW TAKE ONE DOUGH BALL, DUST IN FLOUR & FLATTEN WITH PALMS. KEEP THIN AT EDGES & CENTER A LITTLE THICK
  14. NOW PLACE 1 TBSP FILLING AT THE CENTER
  15. SEAL THE EDGES AS SHOWN
  16. REPEAT THE SAME FOR REST OF THE DOUGH BALLS
  17. DUST THESE STUFFED BALLS WITH DRY FLOUR
  18. START HEATING A TAWA ON MEDIUM FLAME
  19. NOW SPRINKLE FLOUR ON A ROLLING BOARD & GENTLY ROLL OUT THE PARATHA
  20. NOW START ROASTING THE PARATHA ON ONE SIDE
  21. AFTER A MINUTE FLIP THE SIDE
  22. NOW ADD 1 TSP GHEE AT THE SIDES & TOP OF THE PARATHA
  23. FLIP AND ROAST UNTIL IT TURNS GOLDEN
  24. ROAST THE OTHER SIDE TOO UNTIL IT TURNS GOLDEN BROWN
