ABOUT Rich soya koftas in peanut gravy RECIPE

Soya is a very good source of protein, B vitamins and minerals. It is a healthy meat replacement ingredient. I prepared the koftas using soya, paneer, raisins and few more ingredients and finally dipped into peanut gravy. For healthier version koftas roasted in an appe pan. In short this is a very healthy, easy and quick recipe that goes well with both rice and roti.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. For kofta-
  2. Soya granuels 1/2cup
  3. Crumbled paneer 1/2cup
  4. Raisins 10-12nos
  5. Bread crumbs 1/4cup
  6. Chopped coriander leaves handful
  7. Cornflour 2tsp
  8. Garam masala powder 1/2tsp
  9. Chaat masala 1tsp
  10. Kitchen king masala 1/2tsp
  11. Red chilli powder 1/2tsp
  12. Salt to taste
  13. Maida 2tsp (for coating)
  14. For gravy -
  15. Peanuts 1/2cup
  16. Curd 1/2cup
  17. Sugar 1 tsp
  18. Tomato 1
  19. Ginger 1"
  20. Cumin seeds 1tsp
  21. Dry Red chilli 2no
  22. Chaat masala powder 1tsp
  23. Oil 1tbsp
  24. Salt as per taste
  25. Fresh Mint leaves chopped few

Instructions

  1. ADD 1/2CUP SOYA GRANULES TO HOT BOILING WATER AND COOK FOR 2MINS.
  2. DRY ROAST 1/2CUP PEANUTS AND KEEP ASIDE.
  3. STRAIN SOYA GRANULES.
  4. RINSE WITH COLD WATER.
  5. SQUEEZE WATER FROM SOYA GRANULES AND KEEP ASIDE.
  6. ADD 1/2CUP CRUMBLED PANEER
  7. ADD 1/4 CUP BREAD CRUMBS.
  8. ADD SOAKED RAISINS.
  9. ADD HANDFUL OF CHOPPED CORIANDER LEAVES.
  10. ADD 2TSP CORNFLOUR.
  11. ADD 1/2TSP GARAM MASALA.
  12. 1TSP CHAAT MASALA
  13. 1/2TSP KITCHEN KING MASALA.
  14. 1/2TSP RED CHILLI POWDER
  15. SALT TO TASTE.
  16. MIX WELL.
  17. MAKE BALLS LIKE THIS.
  18. COAT THE KOFTAS WITH MAIDA.
  19. GREASE OIL IN APPE PAN AND COOK THE KOFTAS ON LOWER MEDIUM FLAME FOR 2-3MINS FLIPPING IN BETWEEN.
  20. PUT EVERYTHING INTO BLENDER WITH LITTLE WATER AND MAKE A PASTE.
  21. ADD 1CUP CURD.
  22. MIX WELL.
  23. CHECK THE KOFTAS.
  24. WHILE KOFTAS ARE COOKING MEANWHILE HEAT 1TBSP OIL IN A PAN.
  25. POUR THE PREPARED GRAVY MIXTURE.
  26. ADD 1CUP WATER.
  27. STIR THE GRAVY.
  28. ADD 1TSP CHAAT MASALA
  29. ADD SALT TO TASTE.
  30. ADD FRESH CHOPPED MINT LEAVES.
  31. MIX WELL AND COOK ON MEDIUM HEAT FOR 2MINS.
  32. PUT THE COOKED KOFTAS TO THE GRAVY. (ADD THE KOFTAS INTO THE GRAVY JUST BEFORE SERVING)
  33. MIX WELL.
