Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1 cup gram flour
  2. 2 glass butter milk
  3. 1 cup boondi
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Ghee 2 tbsp
  6. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  7. Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  8. Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  9. Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  10. Methi dana 1/2 tsp
  11. Asafoetida 1/4 tsp
  12. Dry red chilli 2

Instructions

  1. TAKE 1 CUP GRAM FLOUR, ADD 2 CUPS BUTTERMILK
  2. WHISK TILL SMOOTH, SET ASIDE
  3. HEAT 2 TBSP GHEE, ADD 1/2 TSP CUMIN, MUSTARD & FENUGREEK SEEDS
  4. ADD 2 DRY RED CHILLIES, 1/4 TSP ASAFOETIDA, 1/2 TSP TURMERIC POWDER
  5. ADD 1 TSP RED CHILLI POWDER, THE GRAM FLOUR- BUTTERMILK MIX, STIRRING CONTINUOUSLY THROUGHOUT
  6. ADD 2 CUPS OF WATER, STIR WELL
  7. ADD SALT TO TASTE, BRING THE KADHI TO A BOIL
  8. SIMMER ON MEDIUM HEAT FOR 10-12 MINS, STIRRING IN BETWEEN
  9. ADD 1 CUP BOONDI, COOK FOR 2-3 MINS, TAKE OFF HEAT
  10. HEAT 2 TBSP GHEE, ADD 1 TSP RED CHILLI POWDER, MIX WELL
  11. POUR THE TADKA OVER THE KADHI, SERVE HOT
