Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Green gram 1/2 cup
  2. salt 1/2 tsp
  3. jaggery or Natural Brown sugar 2 tbsp
  4. coconut grated 1/4 cup
  5. Cardamon powder 1/2 tsp
  6. To temper
  7. ghee / Oil
  8. mustard
  9. 1 Green chilli
  10. 2 Red Chillies
  11. Curry leaves

Instructions

  1. SOAK 1/2 CUP GREENGRAM OVERNIGHT
  2. BOIL SOAKED GREENGRAM FOR 10-15 MINUTES. ADD 1/2 TSP SALT
  3. ADD 1 TBSP GHEE OR OIL IN KADAI. ADD MUSTARD. ALLOW TO CRACK.
  4. ADD 1 SLIT GREEN CHILLI, 2 RED CHILLIES AND CURRY LEAVES. SAUTE
  5. ADD COOKED GREEN GRAM
  6. SAUTE
  7. ADD 2 TBSP NATURAL BROWN SUGAR OR POWDERED JAGGERY
  8. ADD 1/4 CUP GRATED COCONUT. MIX
  9. ADD 1/2 TSP CARDAMON POWDER. MIX AND TURN OFF FLAME
