Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 500 gms torai
  2. 2 tbsp oil
  3. cumin seeds 1 tsp
  4. asafoetida 1 /4 tsp
  5. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  6. 1 tsp coriander powder
  7. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  8. salt to taste

Instructions

  1. WASH 500 GMS TORAI AND DRY.
  2. CUT TORAI UP AND TAIL.
  3. PEEL OFF TORAI.
  4. CUT INTO SMALL PIECES.
  5. CUT PIECES AS YOUR CHOICE, KEEP ASIDE.
  6. HEAT 2 TBSP MUSTARD OIL.
  7. ADD 1 TSP CUMIN SEEDS, 1/4 TSP ASAFOETIDA.
  8. ADD 1/4 TSP TURMERIC POWDER, 1 TSP CORIANDER POWDER, 1 /2 TSP RED CHILLI POWDER, MIX ALL.
  9. NOW ADD TORAI PIECES.
  10. MIX WELL.
  11. ADD SALT TO TASTE AND 1/4 CUP WATER.
  12. COVER AND COOK FOR 5 MINUTES.
  13. STIR WELL, COOK AGAIN FOR 5 MINUTES.
  14. COOK ONE MORE 5 MINUTES.
  15. NOW OFF THE HEAT.
  16. SERVE HOT.
