ABOUT Spicy masala chicken RECIPE

A delicious chickem curry made with roasted spices, a perfect accompaniment with rice ornroti.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Chicken - 200 gm
  2. Chopped onion - 2
  3. Chopped tomatoes - 2
  4. Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  5. Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  6. Coriander seeds - 1 tsp
  7. Black pepper corns - 1 tsp
  8. Cardamom - 2
  9. Cloves - 2
  10. Cinnamon - 1 inch
  11. Red chilly powder - 1tsp
  12. Salt
  13. Refined oil
  14. Green chilly - 1

Instructions

  1. INGREDIENTS : CHICKEN - 200 GM, CUMIN SEEDS - 1 TSP, CORIANDER SEEDS - 1 TSP, CARDAMOM - 2, CLOVES - 2, CINNAMON - 1 INCH, PEPPER CORNS - 1 TSP, ONION - 2, TOMATOES - 2, CHILLY POWDER - 1 TSP, GINGER GARLIC PASTE - 1 TSP REFINED OIL, GREEN CHILLY - 1, SALT
  2. DRY ROAST THE CUMIN SEEDS, CORIANDER SEEDS, PEPPERCORNS, CARDAMOM, CLOVES, CINNAMON UNTIL THEY SMELL.
  3. NOW COARSELY GROUND THE ROASTED SPICES.
  4. NOW TAKE THE CHICKEN IN A BOWL, ADD THE GROUND SPICES ALONG WITH GINGER GARLIC PASTE, CHILLY POWDER AND SALT. MARINATE FOR AT LEAST 1 HOUR.
  5. HEAT A PAN WITH SOME OIL. ADD CHOPPED ONION AND SAUTE UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN.
  6. NOW ADD THE MARINATED CHICKEN AND MIX. COOK ON A LOW FLAME WITH LID ON.
  7. AFTER ABOUT 10 MINUTES, ADD THE CHOPPED TOMATOES AND COOK FURTHER.
  8. ADD THE SLIT GREEN CHILLY AND COOK UNTIL THE CHICKEN IS DONE AND THE MASALA IS COOKED.
  9. NOW ADD WATER FOR THE GRAVY. COOK AND BRING UPTO BOIL. CHECK FOR SEASONING AND SERVE HOT WITH RICE OR ROTI.
