Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1.5 cups flour
  2. 1 tsp baking powder
  3. 1/8 tsp salt
  4. 1/2 cup + 1/2 tbsp sugar
  5. 100g soft unsalted butter
  6. 2 eggs
  7. 1.5 tbsp cocoa powder
  8. 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  9. 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. SIEVE 1.5 CUPS FLOUR, 1 TSP BAKING POWDER & 1/8 TSP SALT TOGETHER, SET ASIDE
  2. TAKE 100 GMS SOFTENED BUTTER, ADD 1/2 CUP SUGAR
  3. BEAT UNTIL CREAMY
  4. ADD 2 EGGS, ONE AT A TIME, BLEND UNTIL PALE & FROTHY
  5. ADD 1/2 TSP VANILLA EXTRACT, BLEND
  6. ADD LITTLE FLOUR MIX & BLEND
  7. ADD 1/2 CUP MILK & THE REST OF THE FLOUR MIX LITTLE BY LITTLE, ALTERNATING BETWEEN THE TWO & BLEND
  8. SEPERATE 1 CUP VANILLA BATTER, KEEP IT ASIDE
  9. MIX 1.5 TBSP COCOA POWDER, 1/2 TBSP SUGAR, 2 TBSP MILK
  10. ADD THE 1 CUP VANILLA BATTER KEPT ASIDE, BLEND
  11. POUR THE VANILLA & CHOCOLATE BATTERS LITTLE BY LITTLE, ONE ON TOP OF THE OTHER INTO A LINED CAKE TIN
  12. USING A TOOTHPICK, CREATE SWIRLS LIKE THIS
  13. BAKE IN A PREHEATED OVEN AT 180 DEGREES FOR 20-30 MINS OR UNTIL DONE
  14. ALLOW THE CAKE TO COOL, UNMOULD, CUT & SERVE
