ABOUT Malai paneer RECIPE

A creamy paneer gravy with good quantity of calcium (paneer,malai). Tasty recipe goes well with hot fulkas.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. paneer 250gm
  2. onion 2 medium size
  3. tomatoes 3 medium size
  4. ginger 1/2 inch
  5. garlic 3-4
  6. Fresh cream or malai small cup
  7. Dried spices
  8. Turmeric powder,red chilli powder, coriander powder
  9. Pinch of sugar
  10. Cooking oil 7-8tbsp
  11. salt to taste
  12. Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. DICE 2 BIG SIZE ONION
  2. TAKE 3-4MEDIUM SIZE CHOPPED TOMATOES
  3. CHOP 3-4 GREEN CHILLIES,1/2INCH OF GINGER AND 3-4 GARLIC
  4. TAKE DRIED SPICE(DRIED RED CHILLI,BAY LEAF, CLOVES, CUMIN SEEDS, BLACK PEPPER AND STAR SPICE)
  5. TAKE 250GM OF PANEER(COTTAGE CHEESE) AND DICE IT
  6. TAKE 1TBSP OF TURMERIC POWDER,RED CHILLI POWDER, CORIANDER POWDER AND SALT TO TASTE
  7. IN A PAN TAKE 3-4TBSP OF OIL ADD RED CHILLI, CHOPPED GINGER
  8. NOW ADD CHOPPED GREEN CHILLIES,GARLIC
  9. AFTER 1-2MIN ADD CHOPPED ONION AND A PINCH OF SALT
  10. FRY FOR 5-7 MIN TILL ONION CHANGE TO GOLDEN IN COLOUR
  11. AFTER THAT ADD CHOPPED TOMATOES
  12. FRY TILL TOMATOES GET MASHED
  13. IN A PAN TALE 1-2TBSP OIL FRY DICED PANEER TILL TURN GOLDEN IN COLOUR
  14. COOL IT AT ROOM TEMPERATURE
  15. GRIND IT TO A FINE PASTE
  16. NOW IN A PAN TAKE 3-4TBSP OF OIL ADD DRY SPICES
  17. ADD THE PASTE IN THE PAN
  18. ADD TURMERIC, RED CHILLI POWDER, CORIANDER POWDER,SALT AND PINCH OF SUGAR
  19. AFTER 5-7MIN ADD FRIED PANEER
  20. ADD SMALL CUP OF FRESH MALAI
  21. COOK FOR 10MIN ON LOW FLAME
  22. GARNISH WITH FRESH CHOPPED GREEN CORIANDER LEAVES
