ABOUT Cabbage Sambar RECIPE

Cabbage sambar with ghee tempering and with the taste of Artocarpus lacuacha it is good in taste, aroma, flavourful.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. cabbage chopped 2 cup
  2. water
  3. salt to taste
  4. Cooking oil 3-4 tsp
  5. coriander seeds 1/4 cup
  6. Toor dal 2 tsp
  7. Urad dal 2 tsp
  8. Red chilli 3-4
  9. jeera 1 tsp
  10. methi seeds 1/2 tsp
  11. asafoetida a pinch
  12. Artocarpus lacuacha pieces 3-4
  13. turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  14. Curry leaves few
  15. Grated coconut 1 cup
  16. ghee 1 tsp
  17. Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  18. Red chilli 1
  19. Curry leaves few

Instructions

  1. WASH CABBAGE, CUT IN TO HALF
  2. CHOP IN TO SMALL PIECES
  3. ADD SALT, ENOUGH WATER, COVER AND COOK
  4. HEAT OIL, FRY CORIANDER SEEDS
  5. TOOR DAL, URAD DAL
  6. RED CHILLI
  7. JEERA, METHI SEEDS
  8. FRY TILL GOOD AROMA IN LOW FLAME
  9. TURN OFF THE FLAME ADD ASAFOETIDA, CURRY LEAVES
  10. SAUTE, ADD TURMERIC POWDER
  11. COMBINE COCONUT, FRIED MASALA
  12. ADD ARTOCARPUS LACUACHA, WATER AND GRIND
  13. GRIND IN TO FINE PASTE
  14. CHECK THE COOKNESS
  15. ADD GROUND PASTE
  16. ADD SOME WATER
  17. HEAT GHEE, FRY MUSTARD SEEDS AND RED CHILLI
  18. CURRY LEAVES
  19. BOILING CURRY
  20. ADD SEASONING, TURN OFF THE FLAME AND COVER A LID
