Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Gram flour 2cup
  2. onion 2 medium size
  3. Green chillies, ginger, garlic chopped 1tbsp
  4. curd 1 1/2 cup
  5. salt to taste
  6. Dried spices ( Cumin seeds, bay leaf,dried red chilli,black pepper, cloves)
  7. Powder spices 1tsp( turmeric powder, red chilli powder and coriander powder)

Instructions

  1. TAKE 2 CUP OF GRAM FLOUR ADD PINCH OF SALT, TURMERIC POWDER, RED CHILLI POWDER AND CORIANDER POWDER
  2. ADD PINCH OF COOKING SODA AND KNEAD IT WITH THE HELP OF CURD
  3. MAKE A DOUGH
  4. MAKE SMALL LOG (GATTE) FROM THE DOUGH
  5. BOIL THE GATTE IN WATER FOR 10-15MIN UNTIL THE LOGS START FLOATING ON SURFACE
  6. TAKE THE GATTE OUT OF THE WATER AND MAKE IT DRY
  7. NOW FRY GATTE ON MEDIUM FLAME UPTO 10 MIN
  8. TAKE IT OUT FROM OIL AND KEEP ASIDE
  9. TAKE DRIED SPICES AND GRIND SPICES FOR GRAVY
  10. DICE 2 MEDIUM ONION
  11. CHOP GARLIC, GREEN CHILLIES AND GINGER
  12. HEAT A PAN TAKE 3-4TBSP OF OIL AND SAUTE THE INGREDIENTS
  13. ADD DICED ONION AND FRY TILL IT TURNS GOLDEN IN COLOUR
  14. ADD POWDERED SPICES AND FRY FOR 2-3MIN
  15. SLOWLY ADD CURD BY CONTINUOUSLY STIRRING AND COOK IT FOR 5MIN
  16. COOL IT AT ROOM TEMPERATURE
  17. GRIND IT INTO A FINE PASTE
  18. HEAT A PAN ADD 2-3TBSP OIL ADD BAY LEAF, DRIED RED CHILLI
  19. ADD THE GRINDED INGREDIENTS PASTE
  20. ADD GATTE IN THE GRAVY AND FRY FOR 5MIN
  21. ADD RED CHILLI POWDER,SALT, PINCH OF SUGAR
  22. ADD THE LEFTOVER WATER USED FOR BOILING GATTE AND COOK UNTIL THE GRAVY GET THICK (CREAMY)
  23. ENJOY THE DELICIOUS GATTE KI SABJI WITH ROTI'S
