Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Regular Rice 1cup
  2. Urad daal 1/4cup
  3. Thick sour curd 1/2cup
  4. Ginger chopped 1tbsp
  5. Green chilli 2-3 chopped
  6. Salt as per taste
  7. Oil 1 tbsp
  8. Eno 1tsp
  9. For tempering -
  10. Oil 1 tbsp
  11. Cumin - mustard seeds 1tsp
  12. Green chilli 1 chopped
  13. Curry leaves few

Instructions

  1. WASH & SOAK 1 CUP RICE, 1/4 CUP URAD DAL FOR 3-4 HOURS
  2. ADD 1/2 CUP SOUR CURD, SALT TO TASTE, MIX WELL
  3. COVER & KEEP TO FERMENT FOR 8 HOURS
  4. ADD 1 TBSP OIL, 1 TSP ENO TO THE FERMENTED BATTER
  5. MIX WELL, QUICKLY
  6. POUR INTO GREASED PLATES, TAP IN PLACE
  7. STEAM FOR 15-20 MINS OR TILL DONE, ALLOW IT TO COOL A LITTLE
  8. POUR THE SIZZLING TADKA ON TOP OF THE DHOKLA, SPRINKLE CHOPPED FRESH CORIANDER, CUT & SERVE
