Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. To Grind
  2. Channa dal 1/2 cup
  3. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  4. Hing 1/2 tsp
  5. Green chillies 2
  6. Red chillies 2
  7. Saunf 1 tsp
  8. Salt
  9. For Vada mixture
  10. Curry leaves
  11. Coriander leaves
  12. Banana flower chopped 1 cup
  13. Besan flour 1 tbsp
  14. Oil for deep fry

Instructions

  1. REMOVE PISTIL AND CALYX FROM BANANA FLOWER
  2. RINSE BANANA FLOWER AND CHOP THEM
  3. SOAK 1/2 CUP CHANNA DAL FOR 2 HOURS
  4. ADD 1/2 TSP TURMERIC POWDER
  5. ADD 1/2 TSP HING
  6. ADD REQUIRED SALT
  7. ADD 2 GREEN CHILLIES
  8. ADD 2 RED CHILLIES
  9. ADD 1 TSP FENNEL SEEDS
  10. GRIND IT TO COARSE MIXTURE WITHOUT ADDING WATER
  11. ADD CURRY LEAVES
  12. ADD CORIANDER LEAVES
  13. ADD CHOPPED BANANA FLOWER
  14. MIX
  15. REST FOR 5 MINUTES
  16. ADD 1 TBSP BESAN FLOUR FOR CONSISTENCY
  17. MIX
  18. SHAPE VADAS
  19. READY TO FRY!
  20. DEEP FRY VADAS TILL GOLDEN BROWN
  21. READY TO SERVE!!
