Homemade Pita bread stuffed with seasoned falafel topped with Tzatziki Sauce.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1.5 cup Boiled Garbanzo beans (Safed chole)
  2. 1 small Chopped onions
  3. 2 Green chilies
  4. 1/2  teaspoon Roasted cumin seeds
  5. 2 tablespoon Chopped cilantro
  6. 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  7. Salt to taste
  8. 2 tablespoon All purpose flour
  9. oil for frying
  10. ASSEMBLING FALAFEL INGREDIENTS
  11. 4-6 nos. Pita bread
  12. 1 cup Tzatziki Sauce
  13. 1 small onion rings
  14. 3/4 cup chopped cucumber
  15. 3/4 cup chopped tomatoes
  16. 1 cup lettuce
  17. 6-7 falafel

Instructions

  1. TAKE 1 1/2 CUP HALF BOILED GARBANZO BEANS, ADD 2 TBSP REFINED FLOUR, 1/4 TSP BAKING POWDER
  2. 1/2 TSP ROASTED CUMIN POWDER, 2 GREEN CHILLIES, 2 TBSP CORIANDER LEAVES
  3. 1 TSP GARLIC, 1 SMALL ONION, SALT TO TASTE
  4. TRANSFER INTO GRINDER JAR, ADD 1 TBSP OLIVE OIL
  5. GRIND IT TO A COARSE PASTE.
  6. DO NOT ADD WATER
  7. TRANSFER IN A BOWL
  8. APPLY SOME OIL IN YOUR PALM AND ROLL OUT THE MIXTURE INTO EQUAL BALLS
  9. FRY IN HOT OIL UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN IN COLOUR
  10. TAKE OUT ON TISSUE PAPER
  11. FALAFEL ARE READY
  12. TAKE PITA BREAD AND CUT IT INTO HALF.
  13. APPLY 1 TABLESPOON OF TZATZIKI SAUCE AT THE BASE OF PITA BREAD, ADD A FALAFEL, CUCUMBER
  14. CHOPPED TOMATOES, LETTUCE, TZATZIKI SAUCE
  15. FINISH IT WITH ONION RINGS, CHOPPED TOMATOES, CUCUMBER
  16. ENJOY RIGHT AWAY BEFORE IT GETS SOGGY.
