PV Sindhu Awaits Ice Cream With Modi After She Bagged A Bronze At Tokyo Olympics!

India’s proud shuttler, PV Sindhu needs no introduction! Sindhu has made Indian proud on numerous occasions by winning medals for her country. And her recent victory in the Tokyo Olympics is surely another day for all of us to celebrate.

PV Sindhu on Sunday bagged a bronze medal for India. She defeated China’s He Bing Jiao and won a medal in the women’s single category. Sindhu’s victory is even more joyous as her victory also made her the first Indian woman to win two Olympic medals. In 2016 too, PV Sindhu had made India proud by winning a silver medal for the country at the Rio Olympics.

PV Sindhu’s victory was celebrated all over the country. Her father, PV Ramana who was immensely proud of her daughter’s also expressed his happiness. Ramana even shared how Sindhu can now enjoy eating ice cream with Indian PM, Narendra Modi. Sindhu’s father revealed that before Sindhu was heading for the Olympics, Modi discussed her diet plans. He even promised Sindhu he would have ice cream with her if she returned with an Olympic medal. PV Ramana was extremely touched by Modi’s kind encouragement and has thus promised that he will be taking his daughter to meet PM Modi after her arrival. 

Talking about her daughter’s dedication and hard work, Ramana said: “Sindhu is focussed and she has that hunger.” Even PM Modi took to Twitter and congratulated Sindhu: “We are elated by the stellar performance by @Pvsindhu 1 … she is India’s pride and one of our most outstanding Olympians’’. So, let us all celebrate our Olympic star PV Sindhu’s victory wholeheartedly.
