Mirabai Chanu made all of us proud after she bagged a silver medal for India. She won this medal in the women’s weightlifting 49 kg category. Her victory was a result of her constant perseverance. Earlier, Mirabai’s defeat in the Rio Olympics, 2016 shattered her. However, Mirabai Chanu’s win at the Tokyo Olympics shows how nothing is impossible and how hard work always pays off.
Mirabai Chanu hails from Manipur and after her victory, she returned to her hometown. Mirabai has now given many interviews in which she shared her success story. However, what recently garnered a lot of attention is Mirabai’s viral photo where she is seen sitting on the ground while eating her food. This picture very clearly indicates how Mirabai is attached to her roots and still follows her tradition.
