Sabudana is a star ingredient during any vrat or fast. From sabudana vada to sabudana khichdi there is an endless number of dishes that you can make with sabudana. Sabudana vada is a popular recipe not only during the time of Sawan but even during other fasts too. This dish is extremely delicious and is so crispy from the outside and soft from the inside that you can never have enough of them. Sabudana vada goes best with green chutney and is an absolute delight. So, to make your work easier here is a sabudana vada recipe that you can make during Sawan or any other time. 

Sabudana Vada Recipe That You Can Make During Sawan Fasting

There is nothing that can match the taste of sabudana vada during the Shravan fasting period. So, follow these steps and delight your taste buds with sabudana vada.

Ingredients Required For Making Sabudana Vada

1. Sabudana – 1 cup

2. Boiled potatoes – 4

3. Peanuts – ½ cup

4. Coriander leaves – 3 tbsp

5. Black pepper – ¼ tsp

6. Green Chilli – 2

7. Ghee – 4 tbsp

8. Sendha namak – according to taste

Step By Step Recipe Of Sabudana Vada

1. For making sabudana vada, first clean sabudana in water. 

2. Then, soak sabudana in water for at least 2 hours. After this, take sabudana out of the water.

3. Next, take the boiled potatoes and mix them with sabudana, sendha namak, black pepper, green chilli and peanuts. Mix all of these together to obtain a perfect sabudana vada batter.

4. Later, rub a little oil on your hands. Then, use the sabudana vada batter to make round balls with it.

5. Then, heat ghee in a frying pan. 

6. Later, add the round sabudana vada balls to this frying pan.

7. Keep frying them until they turn golden brown from both sides.

8. Finally, you can savour the taste of sabudana vada during the Shravan month.
