Something Changed
When Alex awoke the following morning, he experienced an immense burden weighing down on his chest. Summoning the energy to rise from his bed was a formidable task. However, a text message from his grandson changed everything. The message read: ‘Hello, Dedushka. We need someone with an amazing job to speak at our school next week. Do you have the courage to come?
No other kids will have someone with as many remarkable achievements as you. I’m eagerly looking forward to our weekend chess match! Andrey xxx.’ Tears welled up in Alex’s eyes, and an enthusiasm ignited within him. He definitely did an extraordinary job, with an amazing history of loyalty and hard work, with a quarter of a century witnessing his greatness. Now, he had determined not to quit without the fight.
Hatching a Plan
Alex sat at work the next day, thinking hard. His beloved workspace had changed. Alex wasn’t happy about being treated badly. He wanted to make them sorry. He wasn’t sure how to do it. He was smart, and he knew many ways to upset the new boss.
