ABOUT Tandoori Soya fried rice RECIPE

We as a family are fond of fried rice varieties. I try my best in including considerable amount of veggies when comes to fried rice / pulaos . This time , just a thought . Why not incorporate protein rich soya granules ? Then comes a thought to try tandoori soyas to deliver a yummy outcome . Complete treat in few simpler steps with few basic ingredients .

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For Tandoori Soya :
  2. Soya nuggets / meal maker 30 pieces
  3. Hung curd 4 tablespoons
  4. Ginger garlic paste 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Salt 1/2 teaspoon
  6. Kashmiri chilli powder 2 teaspoons
  7. Tandoori masala 1 teaspoon
  8. Kasuri methi crushed 1 teaspoon
  9. Chaat masala 1/4 teaspoon
  10. Lime juice 1/4 teaspoon
  11. Olive oil drizzle little for grilling .
  12. For fried rice :
  13. 80%cooked and cooled basmati rice 1 large bowl
  14. Carrots diced to small pieces 1/ 2 cup
  15. Frozen green peas ready to use 1/4 cup
  16. French beans finely chopped 1/4 cup
  17. Salt as preferred
  18. Soya sauce 2 tablespoons
  19. Hot sauce 1 tablespoon
  20. Minced garlic 1 tablespoon
  21. Minced ginger 3/4 tablespoon
  22. Spring onions finely chopped 1/4 cup
  23. Olive Oil 4 tablespoons
  24. Green chilli 2 ( optional ) finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Soak soya in hot water for 10 minutes .
  2. Squeeze out the soften soyas and drain them completely .
  3. In a wide bowl , take all the ingredients listed for marination .
  4. Exclude olive oil .
  5. Marinate the soya nuggets for 15 to 20 minutes under refrigeration .
  6. Meantime you can cut the veggies and set it all ready to start on with the fried rice .
  7. After 20 minutes , heat a grilled pan .
  8. Drizzle olive oil for grilling .
  9. Drop the marinated soya nuggets and slow grill till it gives out finely grilled red soyas.
  10. Switch off .
  11. In a wide deep pan , add 3 tablespoons olive oil .
  12. Sauté finely minced garlic .
  13. Sauté finely minced ginger .
  14. Sauté finely chopped green chillies . This is optional .
  15. Add the carrots and sauté till they turn par crunchy .
  16. Add the beans and sauté till raw smell leaves .
  17. Don’t over fry veggies .
  18. Add the frozen peas .
  19. Give a quick toss.
  20. Add soya sauce .
  21. Add hot sauce .
  22. Add salt .
  23. Sprinkle little water .
  24. Now add the 80% cooked , cooled rice .
  25. Give a quick toss without breaking the grains in high flame .
  26. See that the rice is coated well .
  27. Add spring onions .
  28. Finally smear remaining oil .
  29. Slow fry the rice for couple of minutes in low heat .
  30. Add the prepared tandoori soya .
  31. Mix well while in low heat .
  32. The soyas flavour infuses in while the rice is slow fried along with the tandoori soyas .
  33. Tandoori soya Fried rice is ready .
  34. Serve hot .
