Ingredients Serving: 4
230 grams plain flour
2 tablespoon flour for dusting rolling pin (extra)
1 cup mozzarella cheese
2 teaspoon of dried yeast
3/4 cup of pizza sauce (store brought)
1/3 cup of warm water
10 ml extra virgin olive oil
A dash of salt
6-7 cherry tomatoes (cut in halves)
Few basil leaves to garnish
Instructions
Take a bowl and add in the following ingredients, flour, yeast, salt and blend together. In the centre of this mixture, make a well form and add in the oil and water.
With the help of a wooden spoon mix these ingredients together to form a dough.
Sprinkle flour on a surface, using the palm of your hand, knead the dough on this surface until it is smooth.
Slightly grease a separate bowl, put the dough in and cover with a plastic wrap.
Keep this dough aside for 1 hour or so or till the dough doubles in size.
Preheat the oven to 240 degree celsius. Use your fist to punch down the dough. Knead until smooth.
Using a lightly floured rolling pin, roll the dough out until big enough to line a lightly greased 27 cm pizza tray.
Spread the pizza sauce over the pizza dough, then add the mozzarella cheese on top and the cherry tomatoes.
Bake for 20 minutes or till the base is crispy and the cheese has formed a thick layer.
Garnish with basil leaves and serve hot.
