About Watermelon Pizza Recipe

Watermelon Pizza is a healthy and refreshing fruit dessert. A perfect summer treat , making this watermelon pizza with your kids is a real fun experience. Here fresh and juicy watermelon serves as a pizza base and is topped with yogurt sauce and fruits of your choice . You may use whipped cream instead of yogurt sauce if you prefer or making for kids. This juicy delicious pizza can be served as a mid day snack, a kids play day treat or a guilt free dessert or just to uplift anyone's mood on a dull lazy summer afternoon. This dessert is my little one's favourite Summer snack and best part is that he makes this snack on his own !

Watermelon Pizza

Ingredients to make Watermelon Pizza

  • 2 large round slices watermelon ( about 1 inch thick) , cut from the center of the melon
  • 1/4 cup hung curd / whipped cream
  • 1-2 teaspoon honey
  • 1 kiwi fruit, peeled, sliced and chopped
  • 2 tablespoon tutti frutti
  • 2 candied apricots, chopped
  • Few black raisins

How to make Watermelon Pizza

  1. Place the de-seeded watermelon slices on a board. In a mixing bowl combine the hung curd or the whipped cream with honey. Spread it evenly over each of the the water melon slice.
  2. Cut each slice into 8 wedges , so that topping of the pizza can be symmetrical and serving becomes mess free.
  3. Top with kiwi fruit slices, tutti frutti , black raisins and sliced apricot.Serve the refreshing watermelon pizza with loads of love !

My Tip:

Spreading yogurt sauce or whipped cream over the watermelon slice is purely optional. You may straight away top the water melon slice with berries and fruits of your choice and enjoy the refreshing fruit punch . Torn fresh mint leaves may be used as topping along with fruits. Serve the watermelon pizza immediately.
