Mix urad dal and moong dal in a bowl. Clean wash and soak dal overnight or 7 to 8 hours. Wash and drain dal.
Combine dal, ginger and green chillis and grind to a smooth paste in a blender. Add salt and mix well till dal become light and fluffy. Add little water if required.
