ABOUT Chicken biryani RECIPE

This is a recipe of home made chicken biryani , which i make for guests at home.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Chicken - 500 gm
  2. basmati rice - 2 cups
  3. ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp
  4. red chilly powder - 1 tsp
  5. salt
  6. turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  7. Biryani masala - 1 tbsp
  8. yoghurt - 4 tbsp
  9. lemon juice - 1 tbsp
  10. mint [handful] - 1 tbsp
  11. coriander leaves [chopped] - 2 tbsp
  12. Ghee/Oil
  13. fried onion - 2
  14. Whole garam masalas [cloves, cinnamon, cloves, star anise] - just a few

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken with yoghurt, ginger garlic paste and all powdered masalas, along with some oil and salt for couple of hours.
  2. Now cook the basmati rice with required amount of water, the whole garam masalas, salt and little oil. Cook till the rice is almost done and then drain.
  3. Now greased the biryani pot with some ghee or oil. Then add the marinated chicken, sprinkle the fried onion, chopped mint and coriander leaves.
  4. Now layer the basmati rice all over. pour the lemon juice and sprinkle some more coriander leaves on top. Close and cook this on a low flame for 40 minutes. rest, mix and serve with some raita on the side.

please mention the ingredients with quantities and the procedure as well to make the biryani.
