Double Layer Burfi

Ingredients to make Double Layer Burfi

  • For Plain Burfi Khoya - 300 grams
  • sugar - 100 grams
  • Green cardamom - 4 to 5 pieces
  • Warm milk - 2 tbsp
  • For chocolate burfi:
  • Khoya - 200 grams
  • sugar - 70 grams
  • Cocoa powder - 2 tbsp
  • Warm milk - 2 tbsp

How to make Double Layer Burfi

  1. For plain burfi:
  2. Take a wok, add crumbled khoya into it and stir till it starts melting.
  3. Now add sugar, cardamom powder and add milk to make it soft.
  4. Stir the mixture till it starts boiling.
  5. Then take a deep plate, grease it with little oil, start pouring the mixture and tap it once.
  6. For chocolate burfi:
  7. Take the same wok, add khoya and sugar. When it starts getting soft, add cocoa powder and milk in it.
  8. Stir it nicely and wait for a boil. Now pour the mix on the plain burfi's batter.
  9. Pat the plate once and with the help of knife start making it plain. Likewise we do in icing of cakes.
  10. Keep the mixture in freezer when it cools down for (2 hours).
  11. After 2 hours take the burfi out and start cutting it into pieces or any shape you desire. Enjoy.
