ABOUT Semolina Veggies Cake RECIPE

Bake a time saving delicious salty cake using curd. It has lots of veggies,oats and flaxseeds so it is a healthy dish.The yogurt added in this cake keeps this cake incredibly moist and soft.I love the sweet -savoury taste ..Hope you will give it a try.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Semolina 1 cup
  2. Oats powdered 1/2,cup
  3. Thick Curd 1 cup
  4. Carrot of small size 1
  5. Green peas 1/4 cup
  6. Capsicum 1/4 chopped small
  7. Oil 1/2 cup
  8. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  9. Ginger Chilli paste 1 tbsp
  10. Water 1/2 cup
  11. Baking soda 1/4 tsp
  12. Sugar 1 tsp
  13. Salt 1/2 tsp
  14. Sesame Seeds 1/2 tsp
  15. Flax seeds 1/2 tsp
  16. Red mustard seeds. 1/2 tsp
  17. curry leaves 6
  18. Oil 1 tbsp for tempering.

Instructions

  1. Boil carrot and peas in water till soft.Keep aside to cool.
  2. Preheat the oven .Prepare the cake tin.Collect all ingredients at one place.
  3. Take curd and oil .Beat well and smooth.Add in salt, turmeric powder,ginger chilli paste and sugar.
  4. Add carrot,peas and capsicum.
  5. Now mix in semolina and oats.Mix well Add water and baking soda . Stir it to thick and pouring consistency.
  6. Spread flax seeds and sesame seeds on the bottom of cake tin.
  7. Pour the cake batter from the centre of the tin.Tap it .Cake is ready to be baked.
  8. Bake it for 30 minutes at 180 degree C.
  9. Take out the cake and run a knife at its sides.Invert,pat and lift the pan.Cake will come out clean.
  10. Make tempering of mustard seeds and curry leaves. pour over it.
  11. Cut into pieces.Serve.
