Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1 cup roasted rava (semolina)
  2. Chop 1medium carrot,5 beans and 2 potatoes
  3. 1/4 cup peas
  4. 2 medium sized onion sliced
  5. 1 medium sized tomato sliced
  6. 1 tesp ginger garlic paste
  7. 2 green chilli slit
  8. Few curry leaves
  9. 1 tbsp each chopped mint and coriander leaves
  10. 2 1/2 cups water
  11. 1 /4 tesp turmeric powder
  12. 1/2 tesp chilli powder
  13. Salt as per taste
  14. 3 tbsp oil
  15. 2 tbsp ghee
  16. Seasoning : ( 1" cinamon stick,4 cloves,2 cardamom,few cashew,1" peice bay leaf and 1/2tesp fennel seeds)

Instructions

  1. Place a deep bottom pan with oil on medium heat
  2. Add seasoning ingredients,once it splutters add curry leaf.
  3. Now add chili, onion,ginger garlic paste and saute till onions are soft
  4. Add tomatoes,mint and coriander leaves and saute till tomatoes are half cooked
  5. Add the cut vegetables,peas and mix well.
  6. Add turmeric,salt,chilli powder mix well.Pour water and cook covered in low flame till vegetables are 90℅ cooked.
  7. Remove lid add roasted rava and stir without lumps.
  8. Cover and cook for 2 to 3 minutes
  9. Add ghee give a gentle stir.
  10. Hot kichadi is ready to serve with chutney.
