Chocolate Muffins

Ingredients to make Chocolate Muffins

  • 1 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vinegar

How to make Chocolate Muffins

  1. Line a muffin tray with muffin liners and preheat the oven to 180 degrees celsius for 10 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, add the all purpose flour and sugar. Then add the baking soda and cocoa powder.
  3. Give it a gentle whisk to combine well. Set aside.
  4. In another bowl, add warm water and vegetable oil. Add vanilla extract and white distilled vinegar. Mix the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients.
  5. Whisk together till everything moistens and the batter is lump free. Do not over mix.
  6. With the help of a spoon, fill 2/3 of the muffin cup with the batter. Bake it in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let them cool down before you serve.

My Tip:

You can even use Apple Cider Vinegar. Immediately after mixing dry ingredients with wet ingredients put the muffins for baking. The longer you leave them out the lesser they will rise. By Anshu Pande Adapted from Self Styled.
